This is a 350 years old Wisteria tree, located in Ashikaga Flower Park in Tochigi, Japan.

JAPAN COLLECTION is inspired by the 20 years almost that I have been living in Japan. I have come to love this land, its culture, its wonderful landscapes, its classic art, as well as its delicacy. The works of this collection are an impression perceived by a cluster of emotions, feelings, together with the wonderful places that have been etched into my heart.

秋のトンボ
秋が深まり、そろそろその時期を終えるトンボを、６枚のキャンバスに和紙とアルミ箔を使って描いています。特殊な技法として、アクリル絵の具と油絵の具を用いて艶消しと
光沢のコントラストを表現しています。
この作品は、日本画家北斎、是真と加山影響を受けています。

Un total de seis lienzos. Representa una escena de las últimas libélulas de otoño.

In this work the influence of Japanese artists like Shibata Zeshin, Katsushika Hokusai and Ando Hiroshige can be appreciated.
It represents a protest against the dolphin killing that takes place on the coasts of the Japanese Pacific, as well as in other parts of the world.
In the case of Japan, it is a reality that people are not aware of.

この作品は２００９年の日食の折に、日本のある漁村でのイルカの狩りが報道されて、

　イルカの保護のためにクリムト、北斎、柴田是真、広重の技法を取り入れて描きました。

この狩りの事は海外のメディアでも紹介されて、日本を知らない海外の知人達から、

日本人が皆イルカの狩りをしていると誤解されていて、とても悔しかった。

En esta obra se puede apreciar la influencia de artistas japoneses como Shibata Zeshin, Katsushika  Hokusai y Ando Hiroshigue.

 Representa una protesta por la matanza de delfines que se lleva a cabo en las costas del pacífico japones, así como en otros lugares del mundo. 

En el caso de Japón es una realidad  que el pueblo desconoce.

Inspired in  a realistic landscape of the Japanese autumn. Mount Fuji is in contrast to the red color of the famous “Japanese Cypresses” (Momilli), with their star-shaped leaves, as well as the blue sky.

日本で一番好きな季節、秋。紅葉の秋。雲一つない空、乾燥した空気。青い空に紅葉が映えます。

これだけ鮮やかな紅葉と大好きな富士山を日本で始めて見て、感動してこの絵を描きました。
