Her painting “The Year of Tolerance” is received by the UAE Consul General in Barcelona at the Reial Cercle Artístic de Barcelona. Gift from Sonia G Caballero to the government of the United Arab Emirates.

The personal development of Sonia G Caballero in this 2019 has been spectacular. She recalled in her student years the love that the history teacher made her feel, about the great legacy that the Arabs had left us with architectural art in Cordoba, Seville or Granada. Or the lexical inheritance of which a large number of words are part of our Spanish language. There she began her respect and admiration for the culture of the Middle East countries.

“When I was proposed to be part of a work of” The Year of Tolerance “I saw it as a great opportunity to collaborate in the union among nations and to alleviate part of the suffering that there is because of the differences among people,” said Sonia G Caballero.

“The Ghaf is the national tree that symbolizes the proclamation of the Year of Tolerance. This tree is thus a native species of environmental interest that represents the stability of the desert and is witness to the old traditions because it was a meeting point for the celebration of public events. What it has served to inspire me in the creation of this very special work” explains the painter.

Sonia G Caballero hace entrega de su obra para el gobierno de Emiratos Árabes Unidos en Barcelona.

Su cuadro “El año de la Tolerancia” es recibido por el Cónsul General de EAU en Barcelona en una recepción en el Reial Cercle Artístic de Barcelona. Regalo de Sonia G Caballero al gobierno de Emiratos Arabes Unidos.

Sonia G Caballero es una persona que por su manera de ser, sus objetivos personales, su estilo único de pintura… y sus valores humanos deja huella.

El desarrollo personal de Sonia G Caballero en este 2019 ha sido espectacular. Con exposición en Japón marcada por el éxito de afluencia de personas (más de 4.000 en una semana), creación de nuevas obras pictóricas, línea de alta joyería con el asesoramiento de Ernest Oriol, unos de los mejores joyeros de España, la entrega de premios del BMGExperience en Barcelona, siendo unos de los premios un cuadro de Sonia G Caballero…, y finalmente la presentación de su cuadro “El Año de la Tolerancia” en el Reial Cercle Artístic de Barcelona (RCAB) el pasado 28 de octubre de 2019, tras ser seleccionada para realizar esta obra. 

La entrega de la obra, regalo de Sonia G Caballero, Consulado de Emiratos Árabes Unidos de Barcelona, acogió a 50 invitados en el Salón del Brindis del Reial Cercle Artístic de Barcelona. Unió a personas de diferentes nacionalidades, amantes del arte y deseosos de conocer a Sonia G Caballero.

Estaban presentes el Director de Relaciones Institucionales del RCAB, Joan Abelló, la propia Sonia G Caballero y el Cónsul General de EAU, el Honorable Mohammed Abdullah Alí Alshamsi.

Fue una recepción muy bonita, porque la pintora madrileña evocó sus 3 países de referencia en su vida: España, Japón y EAU.

Recordó en sus años de estudiante el amor que le hizo sentir su profesora de historia, sobre el gran legado que los árabes nos habían dejado con el arte arquitectónico en Córdoba, Sevilla o Granada. O la herencia léxica de la que un gran número de palabras forman parte de nuestro castellano. Ahí se inició su respeto y admiración por la cultura de los países de Oriente Medio.

“Cuando me propusieron crear la  obra de “El Año de la Tolerancia” lo vi como una gran oportunidad de colaborar en la unión entre naciones y en aliviar parte del sufrimiento que hay por causa de las diferencias entre las personas” dijo Sonia G Caballero.

“El Ghaf es el árbol nacional que simboliza la proclamación del Año de la Tolerancia. Este árbol es pues una especie autóctona de interés medioambiental que representa la estabilidad del desierto y es testigo de las viejas tradiciones porque era punto de encuentro para la celebración de actos públicos. Lo que ha servido para inspirarme en la creación de esta obra tan especial” explica la pintora.

Y prosigue “La falta de agua en el desierto y la riqueza de lo que significa esta para la cultura árabe, expresada en el color azul. El cuarteado del oro son las zonas áridas del desierto donde se puede ver el agua bajo sus grietas haciendo uso de una nueva técnica utilizada por primera vez para esta ocasión.

Los tres círculos de agua que simbolizan cada uno de los tres países que forman parte importante en mi vida y en este caso para esta obra” concluye Sonia.

Su recorrido por el mundo, con más de 20 años viviendo en Japón, le hizo ver si primera mano la importancia que supone el tolerar, aceptar, otras formas de pensamiento.

Finalmente, expresó que esa obra fuera un puente de unión, que reafirme, las excelentes relaciones entre Emiratos Árabes Unidos y España.

El Cónsul General, sr. Alshamsi, estaba muy emocionado con el cuadro, que ciertamente le transmitía respeto y tolerancia entre los pueblos. Justamente lo que el Año de la Tolerancia pretende conseguir en EAU este 2019.

Y su alegía y emoción fue tal, que le hizo entrega a Sonia G Caballero de un presente que consistía en el Ghaf de Oro (árbol que representa precisamente la Tolerancia), ese fue el momento cumbre del evento.

Y es que a Sonia G Caballero por su talante conciliador y de buena casta, solo le pueden pasar cosas maravillosas.
